BioSearch2D
Relates gene lists to enriched MeSH terms and retrieves literature for selected gene-MeSH relationships.
Launch BioSearch2D via biosearch2d.ncibi.org
BioSearch-2D renders the contents of large biomedical document collections into a single, dynamic map. With this tool, users can generate a summary map of genes vs. ontology topics that match those provided by expert human reviewed articles. In addition, BioSearch-2D provides users a context specific, functional annotation system for high-throughput gene signatures and ad-hoc gene lists. The engine complements the annotations produced by Gene Ontology based annotation systems, as well as assigning significant MeSH terms as annotations for the gene list; that are not produced by the GO based engines. The BioSearch-2D display facilitates the exploration of large document collections in the biomedical literature, as well as providing users with an accurate annotation engine for ad-hoc gene sets.
